2020
My Cyberknife-App – Exclusive for patients of the European Cyberknife Center
As a patient of the European Cyberknife Centre Munich-Großhadern, the app accompanies Cyberknife patients in detail throughout the entire course of treatment.
2018
Dr. med. Markus Kufeld
We are pleased that the former head of the Cyberknife Center of the Berlin University Hospital, Charité, now supports the Munich team with all his specialist expertise. From January 2018, patients with prostate cancer can also be treated. The inclusion criteria include patients over the age of 60 years with a Gleason score of 6 or 7 and a PSA level of up to 15 ng / ml.
2017
Since January 2017 International Reference Centre of Accuray
Over 7.000 patients were treated at the Munich Cyberknife Center in 2017. The main indications were acoustic neuromas, meningiomas and malignant melanomas of the eye (uveal melanoma). Much of the patients were treated in close consultation with the colleagues of the University of Munich.

2016
20 years of experience with radiosurgery
Doctors at the center offer more than 20 years of experience in radiosurgery and more than 10,000 radiosurgical treatments (Cyberknife and Gammaknife). Around 200 publications and articles by physicians from Cyberknife Zentrum München document data, among others. on the Precision, Efficacy, Reliability, and Patient Comfort of Cyberknife Tumor Treatment.
2015
The latest InCise 2 Multileaf Collimator is in operation for the first time, allowing a wider range of tumors to be treated and patients benefiting from even shorter treatment times. For patients with tumors / metastases in the kidney, Cyberknife is an effective method that simultaneously preserves renal function, according to recent publication.

5000 Patients
So far, more than 5,000 patients have benefited from the Cyberknife method, which can treat tumors in the craniocerebral, ocular, spinal and lung, liver and kidney areas.

New treatment options
For patients with liver metastases of colorectal carcinoma Cyberknife is a good treatment option, according to a new publication with participation of Munich physicians.
2008
New studies confirm the safety of the Cyberknife method
In neurosurgery, the cyberknife method has already been successfully established. First scientific publication on frameless radiosurgical treatment of choroidal melanoma using robotic technology (20 patients) shows that cyberknife increases safety and comfort for tumor patients. The world’s largest study proves the safe and effective treatment of spinal tumors without metal markers using CyberKnife in Munich (107 patients).
2007
1.000 treatments
Over 1.000 tumor treatments in the first two years since the center’s existence. First treated a lung tumor with dynamic respiratory compensation without metal marker.
2005 - 2006
Fundation of Cyberknife-Center
Markerless treatment of spinal tumors with the cyberknife method possible. Foundation of the first Cyberknife Center Germany – opening of the Cyberknife Center Munich in cooperation with the LMU Munich and the AOK Bavaria.
