Modern radiosurgery delivers highly focused radiation to benign and malignant tumours, treating the tumour while limiting exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. No surgery is required.
CyberKnife and ZAP-X direct radiation beams at the tumour from multiple angles, delivering a precisely targeted dose while sparing surrounding healthy tissue as far as possible. CyberKnife can also track tumour motion during treatment, including movement caused by breathing, and adjust the beams accordingly.
